Marie Long brings decades of experience in Ortho-Bionomy practice and education. As a former president of the Ortho-Bionomy Association of Canada (OBAC), she has played a key role in supporting the growth and integrity of the work within the professional community.
Her work reflects a deep understanding of the principles of Ortho-Bionomy: emphasizing comfort, awareness, and the body’s natural ability to self-correct. Students often appreciate her clear guidance, depth of knowledge, and ability to create a calm, supportive learning environment.
Marie is especially passionate about helping students develop sensitivity, confidence, and trust in their own perception, skills that extend far beyond technique.

Jacob brings a grounded and experiential approach to Ortho-Bionomy, shaped in part by nearly 20 years of Aikido.
OB itself draws from both osteopathic principles and martial arts philosophy, particularly the idea of working with the body rather than against it. Jacob’s background complements this approach, emphasizing the ability to follow rather than force. Ortho-Bionomy was the inspiration to study Aikido.
In his work, this shows up as a focus on simplicity, clarity, and direct experience, helping students quickly understand how small, precise adjustments can create meaningful shifts in comfort and mobility.
Jacob is especially interested in how awareness and relationship—rather than effort—can lead to lasting change.
